Pani Puri

So I have some sort of heinous blood disorder right now which is putting a ban on basically anything fun. But human conditioning insists my craving levels are at an all time high. I feel like pani puri so bad. If I had to rank my favourite Indian street foods, it would hands down be number one! If I had it my way, I’d be putting vodka in my pani puri this weekend. (Holi hai!) But instead, I’ll be eating fruit and reading Cappuccino Dusk and We Are Like This Only in bed. Loving Indian authors! My friend Lionel took a video of me ordering some the other day. Please note that you will never get these 13 seconds of your life back.

Back at my grandmother’s, I’ve been spending time with the cutest tiny person ever. Pretty sure I am the best godmother (yeah whose idea was that?) because a) I give her bindis to match her clothes and b) I make her listen to Karsh Kale and c) I let her play with Photo Booth.

Certified Apple slut. My father had a mackintosh way back in 1990 or some dark age like that, it had a a 5″ square screen and was black and white. Kind of like this youtube video (Thanks Varun) which reminds me of the quote ‘Unreasonable people rule the world.’

I just got sent the link to this trailer for the Brazilian film Do Começo Ao Fim directed by Aluisio Abranches. It looks so eerie and taboo but I’d still really like to see it. Foreign films are the freaking best. Watch the trailer.

Boone and Oakley

I have a love/loathe relationship with advertising. My dad was the creative director of Atelier and DNA Saraha, his own agencies when I was young and then I studied it at university, but I didn’t pursue it because I’m terribly cynical and I can’t imagine working for most agencies or anyone (and because I currently want to be a farmer – at this time, best you don’t ask). However, Boone and Oakley are an agency I love. Juhi showed me their youtube based online portfolio, an alternative to the traditional agency website and it’s so cute, clever and comprehensive, that I had to post about it.
